Diane Bauman
Rescue Dogs

One of Diane Bauman's most successful facets of her training is her uncanny ability to rehabilitate troubled dogs and set them on their way to a life of sheer happiness either in her home or in a home better suited to each dog's individual needs.

Hanging on the walls of her training facility are hundreds and hundreds of photos depicting happy dogs who were fortunate enough to be given a second chance to lead a life of purpose that could be either as a pet in a loving home, a working dog herding sheep along a grassy knoll, or a teammate of an agility duo negotiating a course of jumps.

Diane has truly proven that the old adage saying "you can't teach an old dog new tricks" is absolutely not true. Despite an early history that created problems that would prevent most from ever considering adopting Luca, Diane brought her under her wing and determined what she needed. After a short time of the Bauman method Luca became a well adjusted, happy and productive champion.

Luca's early months of her life are not known, but when Diane L. Bauman adopted her from Glenhighland Farm, a Border Collie rescue farm, she was wild, uncontrollable and overweight. Now eight years later, Luca has achieved titles in sheepherding and four Championships in agility. Always needing to be working, Luca insists on helping in the kitchen. She picks up the dishes from the floor and places them in the sink and she takes her job very seriously.
